wanted to upgrade
their marketing
site and at the
same time add a
wealth of features
to support their
clients and staff.
We created a secure
system that allows
their clients to
order and track
the progress of
their inspections
online and to view
reports online including
photos and data
brought online from
a preexisting proprietary

The
client wished to
upgrade their existing
web site and offer
more specific information
on their skills
and services. In
addition to more
information, the
client wanted to
create a sophisticated
visual design that
supported the personalized
and friendly style
of the firm. |

Company-Wide
Information &
Communications System
Word-Ware, through
consultation and
group meetings,
established specifications
for the creation
of a company-wide
intranet that would
serve as a central
information system
for 10 retail stores
across the state.
We created and deployed
a system that allows
information and
files to be shared
between the stores
while at the same
time allowing the
administration and
management of the
system to be handled
by their own staff
rather than needing
to have their system
maintained by an
outside contractor.
A few systems Word-Ware
designed and built
to enhance internal
efficiency.
- Company Message
System
- Documents Management
System
- Sign Builder
System (To integrated
prices into signage
automatically
rather than to
remake signs for
each price change.)
- Door Shop System
(To make it easier
for sales staff
to create the
complex door shop
forms for custom
door building.)
- Employee Clothing
Order System
- Training Registration
- Human Resource
Job Posting System
- Survey Maker
(easy to use system
for creating surveys
for internal use)

The design for this site required a clean professional look in keeping with the needs and ethics of the services offered. |

Combest Investments

A balance was needed in design between the text and existing printed material in order to tie the web site to other marketing materials. |
HealthWatch.tv
Video Production
/ Streaming Media
The
challenge for this
client was to integrate
streaming media
into the design
of the web site
rather than rely
on a pop up media
player. Due to set
size for the videos,
the design needed
to keep in scale
with the video playback
and thus it was
determined to constrain
the design area
so that the focus
remained on the
video content. |

new look to the web. |

Micro Marketing
& Customer Support Seattle
Micro needed a modern
look to showcase their
expanded IT support
and a new product
line. Seattle Micro
is one of the oldest
computer support,
repair and sales outlets
in Seattle, and they
needed a new look
and feel for their
company. We created
a new logo design
used on their employee
shirts as well as
the web site and we
developed a new brochure. |

feature for this

of an automatic

out free recipes
weekly. |

HistoryLink.Org Educational
& Informational case
study --> Working
with the writers and
editors, we created
a database to manage
the content and provide
a logical means of
extracting the content.
The resulting concept
called for two interface
designs: one interface
for a web-based publishing
system and another
interface for audience
access to the content.
Both provide a great
deal of flexibility
and search options. |
Association of Academic Health Sciences

We
gave this organization a brand new design and navigation system
that captures their new focus. This is an example of working with a client
in a virtual environment since the various members of the

The
client wanted to update
an existing site design
that was hard to use
to make the web interaction
more user friendly
and to better exemplify
their modern direction.
To that end we converted
many of their online
word documents to
PDF files and converted
some of these word
documents into online
forms, thus removing
the obstacle of printing
and mailing in forms. |

Public Out Reach
/ Informational
This
project is to address
the needs of public
outreach during the
course of planning
and production of
a public works project.
It was deemed important
to give a feel of
the Jefferson County
web site, but to make
this site distinctively
separate. |
Washington
State Society of Anesthesiologists Informational

site with a limited
audience need not
have a limited visual

developed for a statewide

uses bold design as
well as secure back
office elements to
offer information
to members and the
public alike. |

budget doesn't mean
limited access to

of graphics design,
and thus this site
is accessible to a
wide range of users

There
was a need to develop
a web site that would
help centralize information

and potential impact
of planned rail. There
were several stake
holders in this project,
but the final result
achieved the aims
of the project. |

Public Out Reach
Special Event
This
project is an example
of a short duration
project benefiting
from a web site
for informational
purposes and for
feedback from the
public. In this
case we collect
memories of the
station from users
as well as offer
a schedule of events
open to the public.
Just because a special
event is of limited
time duration doesn't
mean the design
and utility of a
web site should
not be high. |

Support for Public
Outreach
Public
outreach and ease
of use were central
themes. This site
needed to reach
a wide range of
users, some with
limited Internet
experience, so the
site had to be fast
and easy to use.
We also created
online forms that
collected user feedback
into files that
could easily be
downloaded by the
project manager. |

Again,
this site needed
to be clean, fast
and easy for the
novice to use. Along
with the limited
reliance on art
the site required
special password
protected systems
by which committee
members could upload
and share files.
The file sharing
aspect of the site
lifts this site
from informational
to interactive. |
Access
to Innovation (Expired) Public Outreach Access to Innovation
is targeted at senior
citizens to help make
them aware of certain
issues that affect
them directly, specifically
relating to Medicare.
To that end, our design
used larger type and
simple, clean navigation.
We also produced 15,000
postcard mailers for
the client to send
via regular mail. |
