Project Goal
The Post-ITT project goal was to create a web-based resource to help students with disabilities make the transition from high school to college.

Project Challenges
Create a comprehensive web-based information system about disability support services and activities designed for a diverse audience of students, teachers and parents. The system had to have an ADA compliance component. In addition, public outreach and group planning needed to be conducted to determine what information was important and how best to reach students and teachers.

Consultant's Role
Word-Ware provided technical consulting support for group planning meetings and aided in teacher training and usability sessions to determine best design concepts. The process led to the creation and development of two web sites, one that is ADA compliant and one that is aimed at the general population. Word-Ware created a database-driven content management system that can feed data to both the ADA and the non-ADA web sites.

Results
The concept and execution of the project won renewed and increased grant funding. From its start as a pilot project for one school district and a few colleges, the system Word-Ware built now services several states and many institutions.
